Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Combine shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Combine all ingredients; chill dough. Roll into balls the size of a walnut. Then roll balls in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place 2 apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
