Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Cream butter, shortening and sugar; beat well and add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and combine. Chill dough several hours or overnight. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough to size of walnuts and coat in sugar and cinnamon before baking.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes on a well greased cookie sheet. Do not over bake. Cookies will puff up and fall after cooling.
